With multiple transactions completed for companies based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and several current engagements, not to mention our partner, Damian Voltes, being based there, GroupArgent is no stranger to this city.  That said, I was anxious to make my first trip this month and experience first-hand the second most populous metropolitan area in South America and its burgeoning entrepreneurial internet and data community.

I attended the Cross Media NYC event at the Scholastic Theater on Broadway @ Prince.  It was produced by Jumpwire Media, a media consulting company that specializes in helping traditional businesses build strategies to profit from the emerging digital market place on the mobile, social media, gaming, and web video platforms.  I don't know the newly formed Jumpwire but appreciated that they have a lot of fellow Canadians on staff and that they kept things interactive and informative during the event.

Recently, we have been spending time in Bogotá on a client assignment. A mere 3:40 hours from Miami and 6 hours from New York by air, Bogotá is the third-highest capital city in the world at 2,700 meters of altitude.
