Drew brings extensive experience with companies focused in the Data Economy as a strategic advisor, private equity investor, operator and board member.
At Seaport Capital, a media, communications and business services focused private equity fund, Drew invested in companies within the direct response media, digital media, marketing services, communications infrastructure and communications sectors. He actively supported his investments through his role as a board member and driving activities around strategy and business development, overhauling operating and financial reporting, budgeting, arranging bank and other debt financings and leading follow-on acquisitions. He continues to serve on the board of directors for Otelco, Inc. (Nasdaq: OTT), a portfolio company he helped take public in 2004.
His investment banking experience prior to GroupArgent includes BT Alex. Brown’s Financial Sponsors team and Deutsche Bank’s Industrial Technology team where he provided strategic advisory and financings for Data Economy related transactions totaling over $3.0 billion.
Earlier in his career, Drew was a member of the finance team for MFS Communications, one of the pioneering companies in competitive local telephony and data communications throughout the United States, and was responsible for accounting oversight, budgeting, systems implementations, market analysis and project management.
Drew holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton and an M.B.A. in Finance, with distinction, from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
