Our Merchant Banking origination capabilities are extremely strong and a cornerstone of our business model. We have a systematic and organized sourcing methodology with 20,000+ contacts in the Data Economy.

We are committed to helping entrepreneurial companies succeed as demonstrated by our track record of working with 100+ CEOs of lower-middle market companies in the Focus Sectors. Our principals have completed several investments in family-owned businesses, and each has reviewed or worked on 50+ transactions annually for the last 10 years. We constantly attend or speak at conferences, events and industry panels. We are patient and collaborative in our approach – a key requirement to successfully close and manage investments in the lower middle market.

Scope of Activities

Our scope of Merchant Banking activities includes:

• Targeting and sourcing a variety of investment opportunities in the Data Economy 
• Analyzing macro and microeconomic risks through extensive due diligence 
• Structuring and executing investments, including detailed financial analysis, deal negotiation, capital raising and transaction execution 
• Assisting portfolio company management and operating partners to create value and grow their businesses or portfolios, including through representation on the Board of Directors and management augmentation 
• Assessing the appropriate time and manner in which to monetize an investment 

Funding

To fund our merchant banking transactions, we pool our own resources with those of family offices, larger financial services firms and private equity firms with whom we have privileged and committed relationships.
